2. Data processed by the app
Wiesn Survivors processes exclusively the following information:
- Saved progress (gold, talents, selected character, best time and enemy count), language, music and sound settings
- When Google advertising services are active: IP address and approximate location inferred from it, app/device identifiers and, where applicable, advertising identifiers, ad views and interactions, and technical diagnostic and performance data. Consent management processes your privacy choices.
Progress and settings are stored locally, using the local website database (IndexedDB) in the browser. The app has no user account and does not transmit this progress to its own server. Device backups created by the operating system depend on your system settings.
3. Sharing with third parties
The following service providers process data on our behalf or under their own responsibility:
- Google (AdMob and User Messaging Platform) – Providing advertising and video rewards, managing consent, measuring ads and preventing abuse; personal advertising purposes depend on your consent and the choices presented
Google may process data on servers outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Google describes safeguards including adequacy mechanisms such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for certified recipients and, where applicable, standard contractual clauses. Google explains the applicable safeguards and contact options in its international transfer information.
- Google’s privacy policy and retention information
- How Google uses data from partner apps
- Google’s safeguards for international data transfers
4. Analytics and tracking
Google AdMob may use the listed advertising data to deliver and measure ads and prevent abuse. Personalised advertising depends on consent in Google’s privacy dialog. On iOS, the IDFA advertising identifier is used only with the required system authorisation. The app does not operate an additional analytics transmission to its own server.
5. Legal basis
Processing local progress provides the game functions you request (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR); strictly necessary local storage falls under section 25(2), point 2 TDDDG. Where advertising or device access requires consent, the basis is Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and section 25(1) TDDDG. Managing and recording required privacy choices serves compliance with legal obligations (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR). Google explains its own purposes and legal bases in the information linked below.
6. Retention and deletion
Local progress remains until app data or browser website data is deleted or the app is uninstalled. Device backups may retain additional copies; you control their deletion through the operating system or backup provider.
Google’s retention periods depend on the data type, purpose, your settings and legal retention duties. Google explains deletion options and retention in its privacy policy; we do not set a single retention period for Google’s systems. Changing consent stops future processing that depends on it but does not automatically erase all lawfully retained data.
7. Your rights
You have the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). You may change or withdraw consent at any time with future effect using Google’s privacy dialog or “Ad privacy options” in the main menu, where Google makes this option available. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. System settings for advertising identifiers and tracking are also available. Playing does not require consent to personalised advertising; video rewards need an available ad. For any questions you can reach us at the address given above.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
8. App Store
The app is distributed via Apple's App Store. In doing so, Apple processes data under its own responsibility (for example regarding download and purchase), over which the provider has no influence. Apple's privacy policy applies in that respect.
9. Changes to this policy
This policy applies to Wiesn Survivors in its respective current version. If functional changes affect data processing, it will be amended before the new version is published.
